Wexford Hillwalking Club will host an information evening on September 15th, High Meadows Community Hub (behind Clonard Church) at 8pm

It is preferable that anyone interested in joining the club attends this event, to hear about how we operate as a club, walking, scrambling, rock climbing,  and receive some information about where we meet, carpooling, fitness, preparing for the weather, equipment to carry etc.,  Anyone who cannot make it, must speak to one of our leaders in advance of turning up for any of our walks.

We will have an introductory “taster walk” on Forth Mountain (3-4 hours), September 18th which provides an opportunity to speak to some of our members and test your appetite for rougher terrain.   We will follow that with an Introductory Walk in the Blackstairs Mountains on September 26th.  Walkers can expect to be on the mountain 4-6 hours.  Anyone interested in joining is encouraged to try one or both walks before joining a regular Sunday club walk, particularly if you have not walked in the hills before.

Please note, a face covering will be mandatory at the introductory evening for all attendees and contact details will be collected for the purpose of contact tracing.
