One might think that all approaches to Mt Leinster had been explored but Peter provided an entree that was not familiar to the group. Parking on the Rahanna side , we scaled Knockroe and descended to Shannon’s Lane to approach Stoney Top from the south. The remaining snow often blocked our path and was quite deep in places
