Congratulations to Colette Mahon on her election to the Board of Directors of Mountaineering Ireland at last weekend’s AGM held in the Aherlow Hotel. Colette was proposed by the club of which she has been a leading member since 1996 and has been a committee member, in different roles including chair, on many occasions during that time. She is well known to members as a keen hillwalker, mountaineer, scrambler and rock climber (both indoor and outdoors). Colette has also been a member of BOS from 2012 until its last meeting in December 2017 and is a Provider and has run numerous Mountain Skills courses for our club. Colette is also well known on a national levael as a member of the Women with Altitude committee.
