There was a large turnout for the Club’s annual introductory walk where anyone interested in trying out hillwalking is afforded an opportunity to hillwalk with experienced club leaders but strictly within the individual’s capacity; such a day allows for a taste of what’s involved in the sport and Sunday last provided a number of regular features of the outdoors in Ireland : rain and wind ! The rain stopped but the wind increased as the group went up towards Mt Leinster.
Anyone interested in joining the club who did not make it last Sunday and has the requisite fitness to walk for four to five hours on untracked mountainside with around 700m of ascent would be very welcome to join one of the Club’s Sunday walks ; please send an email to wexfordhillwalkingclub@gmail.com to learn details of the next suitable walk
