Ger’s 2 boot walk on Sun was completed in balmy conditions around Luggala. The walk started from the Pier Gates and climbed Luggala, enjoying wonderful views of the Guinness Estate country house. Crossing the Cloghogue river above caused some difficulty following the heavy rain of the previous week. A long ‘trudge’ led to the ‘Coffin stone’ on Djouce. The route to the summit was easy and the group continued to the Wicklow way to return to the cars. Much discussion was had at this point on the boardwalk. The walk was almost 16km and 870m of ascent.
