The limestone layered rock formations at Hook Head were an ideal ‘playground’ and learning environment for the introductory scrambling session last Saturday for club members.
The group worked on movement skills and balance over relatively easy terrain.
They practiced ‘spotting’ which is a way of supporting others in awkward moves.
There were opportunities to work on descending as well as climbing.
Weather was perfect and the scenery was, as always, stunning.
Next club scrambling will be Sat May 20th in the Comeraghs.
