Not a moon in sight but fantastic visibility over the surrounding countryside gave the group of members on the recent night walk a very pleasant experience. The walk started from Mullawn on the Eastern side of Black Rock. The route followed trails through forestry and then contoured over open mountain into the Blackstairs best effort at a glacial coum, the floors of Craan! A steep climb brought the group to the ridge and onto to the peak of Black Rock, passing the turf hut on the way. A short steep descent led the group down to forest trails and back to Mullawn.
