The club walks on Sunday last gave opportunities for fantastic views in the Comeragh mountains.
The 4 boot, led by Ger and Eugene, started from the busy Mahon Valley, went to Coum Tay and accessed the plateau via a very gentle gully on the Eastern edge of the cliffs. The group descended the ‘nose’ into Coumalocha. Following a climb out of that coum the route continued to Comeragh mountain and back to the car park.

The 2 boot group, led by Tom Benny, travelled to Rathgormack and accessed the mountains via forest tracks North of the Boolas. A long, gentle rise on the Eastern side of the coum led to the plateau. The walk followed the circuit of the coum before descending via the Gap. Great views across the Knockanaffrin ridge and beyond.
