Yesterday’s easy walk , expertly led by Pauline and Sylvia (so said since visibility for the ascent was very limited and map and compass were much in evidence !) took club members to a rarely walked part of the Knockmealdown range , namely Knockshanahullion.  The effort required to get to the top was well rewarded with a welcome lunch break in the shelter of the magnificent Bronze Age burial mound at the top and a simultaneous clearing of the mist and cloud to give a magnificent all round view of the surrounding peaks and counties !
