The second club trip to Calpe, Spain, which took place over St Patrick’s ‘week’ was a very successful climbing outing. The familiarity with some of the crags from last year’s trip allowed for a quick start. Confidences were built with all members leading, some for the very first time. All routes done were ‘sport’/bolted routes and ranged from 3+ to 6b+. Weather conditions were not as stable as last year so none of the very big multi pitch routes were planned. However a number of new crags were visited with many new routes ticked off.
The annual ‘warm weather’ club climbing trip seems to be firmly established in the club calender and already there is research being done on Majorca for March 2016!
