A very enthusiastic group of members took to the hills on Sat 15th waiting for the downpour which had been forecast but thankfully never arrived. The trainee navigators were put through their paces with their focus being increasingly drawn towards the smallest of quirks in contours and being asked to ‘place’ themselves on their maps! Conditions were perfect with visibility varying from good to very poor at times throughout the day.
Much was learned on the exercise and it was an appropriate ‘warm-up’ for the BOS Mountain course being run this season within the club.
