Lough Firrib was Paul’s objective and in low visibility and almost persistent rain he took the group there despite low visibility much to the delight of everyone on the walk as this was a a corner of Wicklow no one had previously visited. Return was via Camaderry and down to St. Kevin’s Road. The rain ceased temporarily for both food stops during which Pat offered some strawberries and cream – an unusual treat on a damp Wicklow hillside!  Descent was via Luganure Brook where remains of mine workings are clearly visible (further information ). A 13.5 K hike with 500 m height gain – some of the height gain was over peat hags!
