Waited at Kilclooney Bridge for the deluge to pass but had to eventually give in and ‘bite the bullet’! Major turnaround in weather conditions with blue skies and glorious sunshine on the approach to Crotty’s Rock. Ski goggles would have been an extremely welcome piece of kit in the following 30 mins on a low level route to the Boolas. Calm on the climb out of the Boolas behind the pinnacle. Good visibility into the Nire valley all the way down to the Gap. More streams than usual in Coumlara! More blue skies en route to the ‘high point’. Then to keep the weather interest going had lots of snow on the descent down the South ridge of Coumshingaum. A typical Irish weather day??
