CALPE, SPAIN. CLIMBING/SCRAMBLING. MAR 2014
Club members gained huge climbing experience on the recent trip to Calpe. Numerous sport climbing routes were led and seconded at various grades. Some multi pitch routes were completed also, Puig Campana (13 pitches) and Penon d’Ilfach (7 pitches).
The traverse of the Bernia ridge is a superb scrambling route with one short rock climb.
This is a spectacular location with many easily accessible crags to satisfy all levels of climbing experience. This trip felt the ‘tip of the iceberg’ and a return journey is already being planned to build on the experience gained here.
