Some more photos from Sat July 27th. Terrific day’s climbing for all.
A gorse fire today at Rocklands caused cancellation of the regular weekly climbing session. The fire spread quickly in a fresh Southerly breeze. It is likely that the crag will be unsuitable for climbing for some time. An alternative venue will be arranged for the next few weeks.
A club climbing day is planned for Knockadoon Head, just West of Youghal, for Sat July 27th. Mixed grades suitable for all levels. Stunning location as the photos show. Members will have details via e mail. Non members, contact the club sec through web site.
Super day of scrambling in a balmy breeze in the Comeraghs. Exploration of the upper Mahon river bed, normally under lots of water, lovely rock steps uncovered. Checked some gullies at Coumshingaun which are incredibly dry at the moment.
