The Club calendar offered two walks on Sunday , an “easy” and “moderate”. Colette led the larger “easy” group who enjoyed an increasingly brighter day as they ascended to Knockanaffrin ridge via Coumduala Lough having started from near the Scout Hut (228117) . The 12k walk taken at a pleasant pace with a height gain of 700m took about 4 hours with a sharp ascent from the lake to the ridge!
Meanwhile the “moderate” walkers led by Jane and Turlough started from Power the Pot side and passed the other club group as they made their way in the opposite direction along the ridge towards the Gap!
