The Dolomites in Northern Italy provide the spectacular footage for the next club slideshow on Feb 8th at Whitford House Hotel at 8pm. This amazing mountain range offers walking, treking, via ferrata and a wealth of history. Come along to learn a bit more about via ferrata, if you’ve never tried it. This presentation is open to all, members or non-members. Some members are planning a trip in June, you might be interested! €2 admission.
26 club members took part in the walk which took in St. Kevin’s Way, Camaderry, Turlough Hill and back the Miners’ Track to Glendalough in cold clear and dry conditions in the capable hands of leaders Peter and Martin.
Over twenty club members travelled to the Mahon Falls car park to climb to the highest point in the Comeraghs : spot height 792 overlooking Coumshingaun returning via Comeragh Mountain. Conditions were clear affording views of the lakes and the coast. Picture was taken during lunch break near the summit! Leaders on the day were Ger and Peter
