After heavy mist on Saturday and gale force winds overnight, the Club walks in the Comeraghs were blessed with excellent weather : mild and excellent visibility (this time last year we had the beginning of the extended period of lying snow!) . The easy and moderate groups stayed together for a tour of the rich archaeological remains to be found in the townland of Tooreen East under Milk Hill led by Colette who unerringly took the group to each feature in turn before a gentle ascent of Milk Hill for lunch and a gentle contour around the Glenastuckaun stream. The “moderate” group climbed higher for rewarding views over Lough Coumfea.
