On Saturday morning while ye were all sleeping a few members were lucky enough to experience a breathtaking sunrise from the top of Lugnaquilla! Perfect conditions and the peace and quiet of the early morning ensured the walk up through Fraughan Rock Glen turned out to be a great success!
Just to remind you all that the end of season beach walk at Kilmore is coming up soon, so I decided to add a few photo’s of what’s to be seen.
Can all who intend going, will you contact Sylvia to make your bookings A.S.A.P.
See you all at the BEACH.
Wexford / Tullow trip June 2010
A successful traverse of the Black Cuillin Ridge in Skye was completed by Micheál and Colette supported by a superb team of ‘sherpas’, Ann, Pauline, Michael and David. Aonach Eagach, in Glencoe, done in both directions was a good warm up en route travelling North. Numerous recci walks were done on the Black Cuillin Ridge and the group climbed the Inaccessible Pinnacle, some twice! Day 2 of ridge attempt was poor weather, making the traverse a bigger challenge.
